Due to cuts and changes in local and federal government funding, AVP has been forced to reduce the hours of our hotline. We are no longer able to answer calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

But LGBTQ+ survivors, and those in our community living with HIV, can experience violence at any time. A crisis cannot always wait until our hotline reopens, and a survivor may not have another safe opportunity to call for help. When we cannot respond immediately, the consequences can be life-changing—and, in the most urgent cases, life-threatening.
