Upstander Safety Marshal Training 

As we celebrate Pride this month, we are still addressing the rise of hate and violence towards our community. To help us build community safety and equip our folks with de-escalation tools, AVP is hosting an in-person Upstander Training and Bar Safety Outreach event on June 13^th in collaboration with Council Member Tiffany Cabán.  

All are welcome to join this free training taking place on June 13^th in Astoria, Queens from 6-8pm. Community members and allies are encouraged to participate in this two-part program which will begin with a one-hour training in awareness and de-escalation and will conclude with canvassing identified bars and dropping off safety kits.
