As the weather warms up and Pride season approaches, AVP is expanding our in-office walk-in hours! AVP’s walk-in hours are available four-days-a-week, Monday-Thursday from 12-4 PM at our lower Manhattan office.
At our walk-in consultations, we explore all the ways AVP can support you, including free crisis counseling, legal consultations, and advocacy support. We will work with you to identify your priorities and connect you with the appropriate resources to help you in your time of need.
“We are so glad to be able to resume in-person support again,” says Aditi Bhattacharya, LCSW and AVP’s Deputy Director of Client Services. “Online and hotline phone support continues to be really helpful in so many ways, especially given Pandemic safety needs. But sometimes, meeting in-person is what a survivor really needs to feel supported. And now, finally we can say again, that we are available in all the ways for our community.”
AVP’s walk-in hours are available at our 116 Nassau St. in lower Manhattan office, just minutes away from the Fulton St. Subway station and minutes away from the World Trade Center. Upon arrival, advise front desk that you are going to ‘AVP on the 3rd floor’ and you will be escorted to the elevator. Upon reaching the 3rd floor, turn right, ring the doorbell and a member of staff will buzz you into the office.
For immediate support, contact AVP’s 24/7 English/Español hotline at 212-714-1141 or visit us online at www.avp.org/get-help
