Join AVP across New York City this pride season and support our work all year as we build awareness for our community safety campaign to make All Places Safe Spaces!
Volunteering helps get to the core of our work – supporting our survivors and amplifying their needs for safety and well-being. We want to connect with New Yorkers to help us build a safer community, and our volunteers help us do that work every day. Being a volunteer for AVP during Pride for after is a long-lasting and rewarding experience.
AVP is back in full swing for 2023 Pride Season, and we’ll be tabling and canvassing at multiple Pride events this summer in every borough of New York City. We need volunteers to help us connect with Pridegoers and share vital safety information for this season and beyond.
Help keep our communities safe and be a Safety Marshal at Fusion, AVP’s signature Pride party, or other Pride events around the city. Safety Marshals will undergo a virtual training session and help support events during Pride.
Register to be a volunteer for AVP’s Hotline, our 24/7 bilingual English/Espanol support line for survivors of violence. Hotline volunteers go through 40 hours of training to become certified.
