SUMMARY:Bar Safety Hell's Kitchen Canvassing 12/20
DESCRIPTION:AVP is monitoring reports of LGBTQ people being drugged or robbed while out at bars or clubs. Two men\, Julio Ramirez and John Umberger\, died suspiciously after leaving bars in the Hell’s Kitchen area\, and media reports indicate that their toxicology screenings indicated drugging. Both men had thousands of dollars stolen out of their phones. \nWe want to get the word out to community about how they can stay safe\, and build awareness around potential threats to those out in the nightlife scene. \nJoin AVP in its bar safety canvassing efforts in Hell’s Kitchen on Tuesday\, December 20th at 6 pm. \nIf you need support or have experienced violence\, reach out to our hotline at 212-714-1141 or complete our Report Violence form.
