Become an AVP Volunteer

AVP is always in need of volunteers, for special events, as well as for longer-term participation in our various programs. If you are interested, simply fill out our Volunteer Information Form.

Volunteer Hotline Trainings in 2010

Our next 40-hour training schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday, September 11th 10am-5:30pm
  • Sunday, September 12th 10am-5:30pm
  • Wednesday, September 15th 6pm-9pm
  • Wednesday, September 22nd 6pm-9pm
  • Wednesday, September 29th 6pm-9pm
  • Saturday, October 2nd 10am-5:30pm
  • Sunday, October 3rd10am-5:30pm

Upon successful completion, volunteers will be New York State Department of Health Certified Rape Crisis Counselors. We ask that volunteers make a year-long commitment to volunteer with AVP once a month, if possible.
